Subj : Rise and fall of BBSes

I've noticed quite a few telnet BBSes come online, only to dissapear after a
month or two.

And then there are others (like mine) that have been around for many years
(mine is over 12 years old) and are still going strong.

I wonder why people go to all the trouble of setting up a new telnet BBS, only
to take it down a couple of months later?
