Godaddy Fr> doesn't Fr> seem to know what the hell a telnet connection is! Huh? Why would Godaddy or any domain registar have anything to do with your telnet? Sounds like your ISP is blocking telnet... Think of it this way... if someone can do an http://thedarkcastle.net or ftp://thedarkcastle.net, then the domain is working. All the domain does is point the name "thedarkcastle.net" to your "IP" which happens to be 64.202.167.129. That is the end of what godaddy does. Any traffic for thedarkcastle.net is directed to the IP, end of story. Its your ISP that blocks inbound/outbound ports... Is this a *nix or Windows computer Run some tests... can you telnet from the local machine , open a DOS/Command shell and type "telnet localhost" , does your BBS answer? Do you have another computer on the same network? Try telneting to your BBS's internal IP address. My BBS computer's IP is 192.168.1.25. This is its "Internal" IP address that I manually set on that computer. So, from any other computer, I can "telnet 192.168.1.25" and the BBS computer (SynchroNet) answers. Make sure your "Router" is set to forward in the ports... example, 23, 21, 25, 110, 119, etc. to the BBS computers internal IP address.
