Thanks, I needed the break! :) Okay, convince me that federal government can do it better (more efficiently and cost-effectively) than private enterprise. I can list hundreds of reasons why the federal government can administer a war-fighting force better than mercenaries, and I can calculate exactly why private industry would have no interest in the return on investment from building a highway. Now, show me statistically why the federal government is a better choice to administer a hospital. I think the problem is that you can't wrap your head around the fact that the business of life-and-death could be profit driven, but that's life in a capitalist society. The fact is that those with more money will always receive better health care (and better everything) than those without. The lesson is that people need to take responsibility for their own futures by getting an education, honing their talents and competing in the job market. You can sit around on the rooftop waiting for the federal government to bake your cookies if you like, but you've seen how that works... --- þ Synchronet þ BBS Doors (www.bbsdoors.com) .
