Subj : My Bike. To : All From : richardw Date : Thu Sep 08 2005 06:16 pm Last night I install XM satellite radio on my motorcycle. It's soo cool. I bet I have the only Bike in the town I live in with satellite radio... and it's not even a Goldwing! :-) The only downside was trying to find a place to install the antenna. I finally decided on the top of the headlight, where it should have the best view of the sky. But it definately detracts from the chrome. All the additional antenna wire is stuffed into the headlight housing. I installed a standard 12v accessory plug in the storage compartment in the side of the bike, and plugged the XM radio in there, carefully running the power wire under the tank so it's not visible. The radio itself is mounted on the center of the handlebars, easily visible while driving. Tonight I will run a splitter, and second output for the passenger. Now, if I could only find a place for the amps, speakers, and subs! --- þ Synchronet þ Eleemosynary ELF - eelf.richardw.net .
