I forgot that other emminently forgettable classic of the American racing calendar, wherein the automobiles only have suspension on one side. Want an interesting circuit? Nubergring comes to mind... > I rather like cross-country, off-road kind of races where there's some act > skill involved to even make it to the finish line. And without "pit stops" > where the car gets pretty much rebuilt at will. Actually, I think the greatest race in the world is Le Vingt-Quatre Heures du Mans. Real roads. *Real* horsepower. Endurance and speed. You can rebuild the car, but that does *not* mean swap in all-new parts. Score the block? Rebore it! If you breakdown on the circuit, you have to get the car back to the pits. Circuit-side repairs *are* allowed, but using only tools and parts carried in the car during the race! I only regret that they stopped the standing-start! --- þ Synchronet þ Entertaining discourse from The ANJO BBS .
