Life's a beach...

Not being an insider, I can't say for sure, but that appears to be a 
completely civilized separation/divorce.  They still behave in a rational 
and reasonable way with each other (no death-threats or anything) and I 
believe that helps.  NOT like another couple we know, who lived across 
from my mother.  Their separation has helped one of their daughters to 
develop pretty unpleasant emotional problems.  (Although you could argue 
that she was pretty disturbed emotionally, ever since she decided to 
become the Town Bike at 13 years of age...)
