Subj : Cattlewash To : Digital Man From : Angus McLeod Date : Sun Aug 28 2005 09:44 pm Had lunch with the family down here: http://www.anjo.com/misc/cw.jpg (308Kb) today. Simple fare; barbecued steak and chicken, potato salad, coleslaw, corn pie, stewed mushrooms, rice, lasagne, chinese noodles with chicken and olives, and some other stuff I don't even remember what. I had two plates full and still didn't get to try everything! Then there was three flavours of iced cream with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and various fruits for desert. This, BTW, is the house you and Liz *thought* about staying in at Cattlewash. It used to belong to Neil Farmer but he sold it ($1M) in order to settle up with the wyf. The photo is a rapidly and inexpertly stitched together shot taken from the deck where we had our meal. Not much in the way of photography, but it does show how calm the Atlantic was (and has been for a while). Immediately to the left of this house (starting from the casuarina trees riding above the horizon on the left of the photo) is another 200 acres of land being sold off in 10,000 sq. ft. lots. They're going for about $750k, I hear! Look at the headland on the right where you see white surf beating up around some rocks. Now if you look just ABOVE that, you can see another headland on the far horizon. Where we went Zagi-flying is right on top of that far headland. And where we stopped for some cheese 'cutters' one afternoon from a little shop, is about halfway between. (Just so you know where you are!) :-) --- þ Synchronet þ Entertaining discourse from The ANJO BBS .
