If so, please tell me > the name of the game and a little about it. > > Thanks... > > for my money dark reign was a great game. it's kind of like stargate sg-1, but it's really not. it's hard to explain. google for dark reign. the first one is definitely abandonware and can probably be found on home of the underdogs theunderdogs.org ... and you can play it in bsd/nix/whatever you use via dosbox (a dos emulator that is cross platform). another good one was not realtime but good just the same imo, was dark legions.. it wasn't really c&cish, but more like archon. very great d&d kinda game. still another good one i remember too was total annhilation (if i recall that was a great one that had some original stuff). last great one i remember was called homeworld. if you have not yet played that you definitely should. it's all fleet battles -- think realtime vga planets.. - grymmjack .
