WarCraft II Battlenet Edition.
The last pre-peak RTS... The Battle.net edition was updated for Windows
previous releases were DOS based.

StarCraft
The first post-peak RTS... Tossed in way too many variables for a quick pickup
of the game.  It's more of a learning game... it takes WAY too long to learn
all the basic units and what they're capable of to be a strategy game of any
sorts.

Unfortunately, WarCraft II doesn't have groups or follow...
