Ever watched any of the old Blake's Seven?  

The BBC were notorious for their really cheesy props and sets.  Probably 
still are.  It didn't stop millions from enjoying the shows.  :-)

I remember watching "The Doctor", one episode, and shouting out "That 
Warpdrive Engine is made from old EDS-300 disk packs!" and my friend 
Martin replied "And he's re-polarizing it with a Marconi sig. gen.!"

Blake's Seven was infamous for their simple sets and props.....
