He then says that he has no memory of his mother. Going by this dialogue, Padme should have lived for at least 2-3 years after the birth of the twins and then died. Newborns cannot possibly understand the concepts of beauty and sadness. The twins would have been separated at birth with Luke going to his uncle Lars with Obiwan in tow for protection. Leia would have gone with her mother into hiding for a couple of years, prior to her death of a broken heart. That would have made a lot more sense. .
