Ewan Gr> McGreggor and Natalie Portman are much better actors than what Gr> they gave for this movie. Maybe it would have been much better if Gr> Peter Jackson had done it. I hope they are. Ewan McGreggor did an outstanding job. Far over shawdowing Hayden Christensen. Liam Neeson also played a major role in the first ep. The Star Wars saga fails (if you feel that it does at all) for one reason, and one reason only. Lucas wasn't up to the task of writing the final piece of the puzzle. Or even perhaps the last pieces of the story. In my opinion: Lucas should have told what everyone already knew. Namely that Anikin becomes Vader. He should have put that right up front. It wasn't the big surprise-shocker ending that the movie sets us up for. I think that they could have filled us in on some of the events that happened after the twins birth. (Luke and Leia) Perhaps in ep II the seeds could have been better laid with the death of Anikin's mother, and the rage felt by a young boy dealing with such a loss. Could have but didn't. Ep IV alludes to many possible story lines. These could have been filled out in III Could have but didn't. Lucas could have improved the continuity from IV backwards to III. Could have but didn't. This could have been the crowning jewel in the Star Wars saga, but it wasn't. ³ James King KC8UGV ³ ³ Sysop Bits-N-Bytes BBS ³ ³ Coldwater, MI 49036 ³ http://www.synchro.net/sbbslist.html³ ....
