It's liable to fully brown the meat at least half way through the steak, depending on how thick it is.... Anything under 1 1/2 inches thick, and I'd expect it to turn the meat tanish colored clear through to the center, flipping the meat and grilling it another 10 seconds would ensure that the entire steak is brown.... I prefer the steak to be pink on the inside, for juiciest flavor. Not to mention, how high is this Yahoo Cook going to flame that steak at?
