That's ludicrous!  Even in former Taliban-country, less than 5% of the
population actually believed in the fervent Wahabi-style implementation
of Islam.  Is your view of humanity so dim that you could believe people
would want death and suffering of their fellow-man for any cause,
including religion?  What makes you different from an Iraqi?

Okay, so far the answer to my question on a feasible exit strategy is to
remain in Iraq and continue controlling directly its political and
social metamorphosis, because the casualty level in that controlled
military environment pales in comparison to the ensuing bloodbath after
American departure.  Coincidentally, that's what Bush has been stating
for quite some time... You guys think alike!
