Noone said anything about adulation and/or praise... just support. If taxes need to be increased so the troops can be properly provided for, one is happy to bear the increase. If a soldier gets held for ransom, one could donate money to free him/her. If a soldier gets a courts martial for refusing to fire on unarmed civilians, one could protest and agitate to have the charges dropped. If a soldiers job happens to be opressing a group of foreigners in a foreign country and the soldier happens to not enjoy it, one could support them by rallying to get them brought home. One can send gift packages with brownies, or chatty letters and the occasional pack of REAL american cigarettes... pictures of the kids, a nice thank-you postcard, all kinds of things. None of these things support "the war". --- þ Synchronet þ My Brand-New BBS (All the cool SysOps run STOCK!) .
