The two concepts are mutually exclusive. > > What Bush is trying to do will never succeed. He's trying to reshape the Iraq people to work like the US. The very nature of the Muslim religion in part goes against the very 'freedom' we're trying to give to them, and trying to change their religion, no matter how crazy their religion is, isn't going to happen. Also without the Iraqi people supporting his efforts the second we leave it'll revert back to what it was before. As for our troops, they are dieing for freedom, but not ours -- they're dieing for the Iraqi freedom. If those folks can't stand up and defend themselves who are we to take on this roll? 250 years ago the US was ran by the British, and though we had alittle help from the French the US citizens led their own revolt and kicked the brits out. If we had tucked tail and taken it like the IRaqi folks are doing now, we'd be talking like Patrick Stewart and have the Queen on the $1 bill.
