Re-read the link.  The coal and oil industries (and, presumably, the 
makers of SUV's) spend millions and millions of dollars on "anti-global 
warming public relations and lobbying campaigns".  There is nobody, AFAIK, 
spending millions and millions to /promote/ the studies...
