Subj : She continues to confirm To : dove.debate From : sn0w0wl Date : Sun Sep 04 2005 07:21 pm I was doing some googling on Cindy Sheehan...looking to see if, perhaps, I have misjudged her....seems to me that I was pretty dead on (from my POV anyway)....There are a couple of things that she said that really show why I question her patriotism...one being "This country isn't worth dying for."...another being "I take responsibility partly for my son’s death, too. I was raised in a country by a public school system that taught us that America was good, that America was just. America has been killing people, like my sister over here says, since we first stepped on this continent, we have been responsible for death and destruction. I passed on that bullshit to my son and my son enlisted." using the correct definition of patriotism (as can be found as dictionary.com) this statement does *not* sound like "love of and devotion for one's country"...imho Read the transcript of a rally for Lynn Stewart that she spoke at in support of Lynn held at San Francisco University in April....seems to me that I remember growing up that if you spoke about the pres in hostile terms that you were in deep shit....she sounded pretty hostile and alot like she was *trying* to incite people to a revolution...actually she even said that so you don't even have to assume... Have no idea who Lynn Steward is other than she's some lawyer who is being investigated (or indicted?) for giving support to terrorists...will have to look into it....*if* it's true, is it a good thing that Sheehan supports her? Doesn't it dishonor her son to support someone who helped out the people whose (possible) allies had a hand in killing her son? Here's the link...I'm sure no one will read it...it's long...has the transcript of all the speakers...I only read the first guy and Sheehan's... http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/Articles/Stewartrally.htm -- "You drink, you get laid and then you die." ~~Words of wisdom from Papa Titus to his son Chris~~ --- þ Synchronet þ theroughnecks.net - you know you want it .
