It depends what you are interested in. I am not interested in files, games or chat. I really only enjoy the message bases. And when I go somewhere that has loads of cool ANSI art, the *first* time I might take the time to look, but the *second* time, all I am saying is "Come on, cut out this shit and let's get going!".
