      Well, I'm a new Synchronet SysOp and I probably have as you say, "a 
     substandard board." I am at this time ONLY allowing telnet access to
     my BBS through the firewall because I mainly wanted to run some of the
     OLD online games. As it stands I can't keep my prospects awake long
     enough to show them what work I have done. So I guess I'm failing.

      As for Dove-Net, I found it interesting. When I first started reading,
     there were MANY interesting discussions going on. I like debate. Hearing
     an oposing view to the one I have and thinking it over. It somehow got
     skewed.... I may have helped.

      I actually may have been the proverbial prick.. ;) worthy of the old
     saying. "Everyone likes a little bit of ass but no one likes a SMART
     ass!"

      That being said I stand in defense of Synchronet and Dove-Net...

     Anything to help revive BBSing is OK with me. I ran a BBS back in 85
     on an Atari 1040st. I was hoping BBSing was on it's way back as I and
     MOST EVERYONE I know are getting sick of the internet and the CRAP that
     goes along with it.

      What I think we REALLY NEED are MODERN online games!  The rest will
     follow.
