Packet names are usually derived from date/timestamp and can vary between tossers...so you might call them semi-random, but they should increment through time and will probably be in proper time sequence when sorted by filename. Bundle names (*.we0) are calculated, not random. The first 4 chars are the hex delta between the network component of the source and target addresses and the next 4 chars are the hex delta between the node component of the source and target addresses. Bundles you build for the same target should have the same filename with varying extensions. If you generated bundles for me, they should end up named 125A0029.*, as would mine to you.
