Part of the script that starts that node has the error codes set to toss mail and archive for send and toss on receiving mail, or rather fido echos. I run an event that polls the tcpip node each 3 hours so it someone posts mail using telnet in, it will get archived up and send it when that script runs. I will include the script below, note that you may use it but need to have script files for 'mailin.sh' and 'mailout.sh' which are just '/home/bbbs/bbbs/bbbs bogus w and r. You will have to edit this to suit your paths, mine are not the best but that is what I did at first and just to lazy to change. You could also make a event that calls mailout.sh say once an hour if needbe. ------------------------- cut -------------------------------------- # filename 'runppp' #!/bin/sh while : do cd /home/bbbs/bbbs ./bbbs 2 2 TCPIP # RC=$? echo BBBS RC: $RC if [ $RC = 137 ]; then exit fi # i have event that quits with errorlevel 100 and does filelist updates and # such thing. # you must set this errorlevel in Global: FidoNet: Sessions: Mail errorlevel if [ $RC = 80 ]; then /home/bbbs/bbbs/mailin.sh & fi # you must set this errorlevel in Global: FidoNet: Sessions: User mail errl. if [ $RC = 70 ]; then /home/bbbs/bbbs/mailout.sh & fi if [ $RC = 0 ]; then exit fi reset done -------------------------------- end I used to have a how to file I made years ago that covered all this with examples but don't know if still on here. BTW thanks for calling my bbbs using telnet. But you called to early for me to chat and besides that my Cox.net crapped out for several hours after that. All OK now however.
