Subj : brown stuff help

The Brown algae stuff in my tank is not moving.
I am doing water canges every 2 days using the sucker tube thingy and i am
getting very annoyed.
I want to add some african cichlids but i dont know weather the brown stuff
will affect them or not.
Please help and give me some answers.
