 multiplatform. Also, you will probably find more active developers using
 and supporting it, which will make your life easier. Lot's of reasons.

 Try http://www.cryogen.com/Nasm, or type "netwide assembler" into any
 search-engine.

 You will also need a linker. I suggest ALINK, which will do MS-DOS
 MZ files and also win32 PE files. There's a link to it on the offical
 nasm homepage.
