I'm not familiar with the ISO format....

I gotta work on this one for a while to see if I understand you correctly.

I like your idea of storing day, month and year in separate fields.  That may 
provide a more "elegant" method of dealing with the date data...

I found a solution to that one....  Let me bang around the date fields thing 
for a bit and I'll see if I can get something back to you in a couple or four 
days.
