Your method looks interesting. Like other methods presented, however, it doesn't work on the "ramdiskness" of a ramdisk. but on one aspect of _known_ ramdisks. So it won't find _all_ ramdisks, since there always might be one you haven't in your list. It seems ramdisk detection is no trivial feat. I did a small search of the net, no results. I feel sure that if it would be possible somebody would already have written such an util in the heydays of DOS. At the moment I think Matthias Paul has the most insight into the problems. -- Viele Grube, best regards, *Klaus Meinhard* 07O36'57" East 53O07'52" North Author of the 4XBTM batch collection at http://www.4xbtm.de -- |Fidonet: Klaus Meinhard 1:342/3 | | Origin: The Cereal Port BBS (603)899-3335 199.125.78.133 (1:132/152) --- # Origin: (1:132/152.4) * Origin: Baddog BBS (1:218/903) .
