The DOSSHELL that shipped with DOS 4.0 was by IBM, and it really was a fairly bizarre piece of code. The more useful shell which shipped with DOS 5 and later was by Central Point, if memory serves. It looked very similar to IBM's shell, but was a complete ground-up replacement with many new capabilities, including the task-switcher. -- Charles Dye raster@highfiber.com -- |Fidonet: Charles Dye 1:342/3 | | Origin: The Cereal Port BBS (603)899-3335 199.125.78.133 (1:132/152) --- # Origin: (1:132/152.4) * Origin: Baddog BBS (1:218/903) .
