(but I reckon you're mostly right) NO! This is an especially inane argument, designed to keep people from using 4dos. Following his arguments, GORILLA.BAS is part of the OS, as Charles Dye has nicely pointed out elsewhere, or all of Win95 is MS-DOS 7. Think: You don't have to delete command.com, you simply point the shell directive at another file (4dos.com). Nothing is altered, especially not the MS-DOS source disks, which are the only things that are covered by any MS guarantee anyhow. And what use is an OS if you aren't allowed to copy other files to it's drive and use them? Again: nothing is changed, the OS is not altered, and it is much easier to get qualified support for 4dos.com than for command.com (try it! :-) ) -- Viele Gre, best regards, *Klaus Meinhard* 0736'57" East 5307'52" North Author of the 4XBTM batch collection at http://www.4xbtm.de --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-2 * Origin: Mach2 Systems (1:342/3) .
