Subj : Bug in 4DOS 7.01? To : All From : Oekel Date : Sun Jan 13 2002 01:06 am From: oekel@netmail.nl (Oekel) In 4DOS prior to version 7.01 I was able to check wether a disk (e.g. "Z:") exists with the following line: if exist z:\nul copy [et cetera]. This trick with the null device also works under MS-DOS 6.22, and Windows 98SE, but in 4DOS 7.01 it doesn't work anymore; for 4DOS 7.01 the condition is always true! Is this a bug? And does anybody know how you can check wether a disk exists and that works the same way under 4DOS 7.01, MS-DOS 6.22, and Windows 98SE!?!? Thx.
