Subj : Merging files... To : All From : Laurent Jumet Date : Tue Nov 27 2001 08:44 am From: 1st_NAME.Lst_NAME@advalvas.be (Laurent Jumet) Hello ! I had a big problem I couldn't find out...:-) I wanted to merge files, let's say file01.txt file02.txt ....file10.txt in one only file bigfile.txt Best way is COPY /B *.txt bigfile.txt Providing the destination is not a directory, all files are appended. But...:-) This command doesn't sort the files; they are merged according to their order on the HardDisk, and 04 comes first, next is 10, next 01, and so on. I didn't find a convenient way to make that merging operation; how would you do yourself?
