I heard of incidents in Norway, Sweden, Italy (I think) and the US.
The latter one concerned Walmart's credit card authorisation software,
and I think it was Norway's national railway company that was
similarly affected. In all four cases it was a failure to acknowledge
2000 as a leap year that caught them out, confusing the blazes out of
the poor computers. :)
