Subj : Y2K Toilet Paper To : GERRY DANEN From : CHRIS CRANFORD Date : Tue May 23 2000 11:28 am -> CC> Yes I would, and also, if it found "mmm" as a length of three it -> would CC> also realize this was for the 3-char abbreviation and if -> it found CC> "MMM" it would also realize to put the ENTIRE month's -> name... -> You'll need MMMM (4) to get the entire month... ;) -> How about French, which uses "a"'s rather than "y"'s? -> CC> Those are a little of my proprietary options in my software, but -> it's CC> a really nice function I developed to handle date & time -> conversions -> CC> and masking :) -> Gee, I thought they were a Microsoft standard... :) Gerry, I have changed my formating in my Y2K final releases however. Now, they use the format provided in your settings of Windows 95/98/NT in order to obtain the date mask of your system. This gets rid of my technique, but makes it easier for my applications to be compliant to Y2K. This way, if Windows fails, then so do my applications. If windows doesn't fail, they don't!!!! Simplying meaning, if no OS, no applications can run anyways, whether Y2K ready or not, right? ;) Chris --- Mail-ennium v1.0.35.3a * Origin: www.tkdsoftware.com - Home to Mail-ennium Mail Tosser (1:379/1200) .
