Hi ,

Adaptec 29160/39160 在Solaris 運行是很有問題, 這是我在 2001年11月前的測試,
但是12月 Adaptec 出了新的 Driver. 是否 OK 我就不清楚.

另外, 你有沒有 Boot Single Mode? 如果都有問題, 就千萬不要用  Adaptec
29160/39160 了

Adaptec 39160 SCSI Controller Card + Any HDD= Can't Boot
Adaptec 29160 SCSI Controller Card + Any HDD = Can't Boot
Adaptec 2940U2W/UW/U + IBM 36GB HDD = Can Boot
Adaptec 2940U2W/UW/U + IBM 18GB HDD = Can Boot
Adaptec 2940U2W/UW/U + Seagate 9GB HDD = Can Boot
Adaptec 2940U2W/UW/U + Seagate 73GB HDD = Can't Boot

About Test include any SCSI Cable, any band VIA Chips Set Mainboard (No
Intel Chips Set Support 1GHz Dual CPU), 512MB to 1.5GMB Memory Size,
DDR/SDRAM, Intel CPU single and Dual (1GHz),

Summer : -
The Adaptec SCSI Controller is work fine with Linux, Windows 2000, Windows
98, Windows XP etc. But I don't know why that can't work with Solaris.
I used 'DOMEX DMX-3395US SCSI Ultra3Wide Controller card'. The 'Can't Boot'
