Sorry, IMHO, these are not only irrelevant arguments but also incorrect or insufficient perceptions of what science is. Quite on the contrary, I've seen/read many "文科的人" who are far more developed in scientific method than those who claim to have learned some math. A very good example is jkx. (Well, I suppose he is considered to be a "文科的人".) In fact, he has been teaching all of us about mathematical mathods HERE. But my claim would be even stronger than that: Imitating his methods will directly elevate our science (in its status quo) holistically. I believe jkx himself would understand perfectly what I'm talking about. For those who do not see this at all, the first step would be to review all of his (jkx) posts and consider in the mean while what real scientific/mathematical activities and disciplines are. And I'll give detailed argumentation upon questioning, but in English. Sorry for that inconvenience. Please don't get me wrong. I do not have the slightest idea who and what jkx is. But that does not matter at all. The deed, the thought and the words do matter. (snip) Rudi PS.
