10 years ago Kang was the stand in chairman of Legislative Yuan
comitte overseeing Lafatte purchase.    Kang and DPP opposed the
Lafatte vehemently for years but in the last month after the proposed
Lafatte contract price balooned again and again till it doubled what
Ho originally proposed 2 years earlier.     Kang and DPP did a 180
degree turn and passed the Lafatte bill.     Price paid was twice what
Singapore paid for those ships.   

 China Times newspaper at the time had a long one page report on the
Lafatte deal.     Very detailed on the multiple last minute price
hikes.    You all can check it out.   

Last week Kang denied he was chairman of thtat comittee at the time.
He's telling half truth.     He was stand in chairman and use his
power to pass Lafatte.     The original chairman died a sudden death
or something.         

Question for Kang and DPP.    Why the sudden change of mind ?   Why
passing the bill only after price did a 100% jump ?    Whey didn't you
raise hell likd you did everything else KMT did at the time ?
