When Yi Ching Feng murder and Lafayette scandal first broke ,   Kang
volumteered himself to investigate , even went to Europe on purported
investigative  mission.   No one appointed him.          He had
exactly one thing in mind.   To protect himself, make sure truth
doesn't come out.


Lee and Ho were in politicle confrontation at the time.   Lee paid off
Navy generals with Lafayette to help himoust Ho the Army man.  
  

Another incident

A few  years ago there was some building collapse at, some place
outside Taipei..   Many people died .    The building are built on
land originally deemed unsafe to support buildings.     Was it
mountain slope or garbage dump or on top of empty coal mine shaft I
can not recall.            Again, Lee wanted to win support from KMT's
domestic and business faction.    He bullied for building permits.
Lots of people got rich in the land deal.   Lee won votes in the party
and Legislature.        I can not recall it was Ho or LeeHuan or Yu
KuoHua   he was fighting at the time.      But China Times at that
time also has a long revealing article detailing the politicle
struggle and  building permit issue.        Lee won the politicle
struggle but people died because   of it.
