ok. after you establish all procedule :
1.power setting 
2.establish the dive angle 
3.switch the tacan radius
4.speedbrake down- as necessary
5.report your intention to the atc

 now you are begin penetration 
and all you need to care are on course (tacan radius) , control your airspeed 
and vertical velocity  by power setting ,speedbrake and dive angle...
while everything is under your control (at right situation )
then you can plan the next step (remember , a good pilot should think next or
far )-------turn to the arc(if it got)
before turn to the arc , you should reach the limit height first . and you 
should reduce your dive angle by pitch and it could also reduce the airspeed,
and the function that lead turn to the arc is :
  ( tas/60)-2=the leading miles

the farest distance is that you know someone you love 
but you are afraid of hurting yourself and let it be...
