i am suprise that civilian plane doesn't have a air to air radar- i mean 
it can see other plane's position and altitude.....etc
in the fight-jet , we usually have dopplar radar , so we can see the plane 
in front of us . and we know his azmuth , altitude , heading , airspeed 
and closure........etc
more advance , su-27 got back look radar though it can see a limited azmuth
and distance........but it also give much pressure to other jet who in his
6 o'clock.......
even the tradition jet_f-5 , it's radar can provide basic imfortion to the 
pilot.......
i just want to say : thanks our great ATC controller for our free flight..
