JAS 39 喙啄獸,顧名思義,就像瑞典的守護神一般,負有
守護斯堪地那亞半島的責任,JAS 39的發展約與我國的
IDF同期,早先Volovo富豪工業與蓋瑞特公司共同發展
的TEF-1042-70被奇異公司的F-404取代後,便由我國接
手而成了IDF的動力來源,JAS-39早期由於線傳飛控系統
的問題而失去了二架原型機,後來在改良操縱桿與軟
體後,才解決問題,以下為JAS 39的資料...

SAAB 39 "Grippen"
     Fighter, 1988 

     Development:
     The first JAS 39 prototype flew on December 9, 1988. However,
     following the February 1989 crash caused by the fly-by-wire 
     system's failure, the second prototype did not fly until May
     1990. The aircraft entered production in 1995, and a total of
     around 250 JAS 39 will be built. 

     Modifications: 

          JAS 39A - the first production version 
          JAS 39B - two-seat trainer version 

     Service:
     With armed forces of Sweden.

幼獅(Kfir)有C1,C2與C7三種改良型,美軍也少量使用編號F-21 lion
幼獅目前最新構型為C7是由以色列飛機工業IAI所研製的,改良自幻
象III 是種多用途戰機,可擔任攔截,空優與對地攻擊任務,其特色是
在二邊進氣口上有固定的三角形條板翼,如此作法可改善飛機的纏鬥性
能,(在幻象2000-5上也有同樣的設計),空戰性能優於F-104G與MiG21/23
極速在Mach 2 以上 與F-104G使用相同的J-79發動機,在1991年時,根
據Flight International和詹氏週刊的說法,我國和以色列共同簽下一
紙備忘錄(MOU)將租貨兩中隊40架的幻獅C7其中34架單座6架雙座,其中
4架為C2...不過,可能由於我國順利採購到F-16與Mirage 2000-5而作
罷...以下為一些資料

     Fighter, 1971 

     Development:
     "Kfir" is a modified and modernized Dassault-Breguet
     "Mirage" III. The aircraft made its firs flight in
     September 1971. The first production version flew on
     April 14, 1975. 

     Modifications: 

          "Kfir" C1 - the first production version, 
                      fighter-bomber/reconnaisance
                      aircraft, 100 built 
          "Kfir" C2 - aerodynamic improvements, first
                      flight July 20, 1976 
          "Kfir" TC2 - two-seat trainer, 60 built 
          F-21 "Lion" - licensed version for USAF, used
                        exclusively in the Aggressors sqadron 

     Service:
     With Israeli AF, air forces of Columbia, Taiwan.
