the avonic system include so many systems....and the "navigation system" is 
just one of these systems....
generally , the navigation system include at least one of the following system:
"tacan","ins","gps"."ils","mls"......etc. in a plane
TACAN--" tactical avil navigation
GPS--blobe position system
INS--inercial navigation system
MLS--microvave landing system
ILS--instrument landing system.
