Marco grew up in Oakland, California, and studied with Sonny Simmons. In 1980 he moved to N ew York City and studied with Jimmy Lyons. In addition to leading his own group, the Marco Eneidi Coalition, he is also currently a member of the Cecil Taylor Unit and the Raphe Malik Quintet. Tonight, live from KPFA's Performance Studio, Marco Eneidi leads a quartet featuring Glenn Spearman on tenor saxophone, Chris Brown on keyboard, and Donald Robinson on percussion.
