Ask Candid Candice a question about Moo Canada:
What is Multimedia?
Multimedia is a combination of text, graphic, video, and audio resources.
When a multimedia presentation is done properly, each component
reenforces the others. You can see, hear and read about the subject matter.
However the drawback of multimedia is that it consumes a huge amount of
Internet bandwidth and can take an unacceptably long time to download
using a regular modem. This is why most web pages only have limited forms
of Multimedia. Multimedia has found a home on CD-ROMs because these
disks can store huge volumes of data, and the computer can read the data off
the disks far faster than it could download it over a telephone line.
