"In a world full of Windows... what we need are some rocks!"


Here's an interesting Operating System.  From Be Inc., the company that 
Microsoft successfully and illegally put out of business (see the PDF 
file: msft_complaint.pdf), I bring you "BeOS Pro Edition 5.0" for both 
PC and Macintosh computers.  

Now a few things you should know.  First and foremost, BeOS is NOT the 
ultimate replacement.  I still strongly suggest that your primary OS 
should be Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional (think of BeOS as the 
"Batmobile", whereas Win2k is the family car).  However, if you are 
stuck with using Windows XP, or you simply want to Boot a quality OS 
other than DOS or Warp, then BeOS is nice alternative.  Give it a try. 

For your convenience, I have included a file named "ReadMe.txt" 
(in this directory), which is a walk-thru on how to install BeOS.
