This GRASP viewer (version 5.0) was the last version written for DOS, and it will run any GRASP format (*.gl) file. GRASP is a simple animation format capable of displaying medium-resolution monochrome images, text, and simple sounds. At one time GRASP was the most widely used animation format on the IBM-PC (the FLIC Animation file format "*.fli" was second), but it has now been completely abandoned in favor of digital video formats such as AVI and QuickTime.
