QuickView is a multimedia player.  It supports several formats 
including: 

Video formats
- .AVI and .DIV
- .MOV and .QT
- .DL
- .CEL (Original Animator CEL Files), .FLC and .FLI
- .GIF animations
- .MPG, .M1V, .MPE, .MPV and .DAT (MPEG 1 video files)
-  VideoCDs and CD-i (partly) are supported using the -VCD command.

Picture formats
- .BMP (including kindred formats): .RLE, .DIB, .BGA, .VGA, .RLE, .RL4, .RL8
- .GIF
- .JPG, .JIF and .JPE
- .PCX
- .TGA

Sound formats

Note that QuickView will place a hidden file (QA.*) in your root 
directory when it runs.

GRAphical System for Presentation viewer

If you don't want to buy software, but still want to see animations, 
I offer you the freeware "GRAphical System for Presentation viewer".

This GRASP viewer (version 5.0) was the last version written for 
DOS, and it will run any GRASP format (*.gl) file. GRASP is a simple 
animation format capable of displaying medium-resolution monochrome 
images, text, and simple sounds.  At one time GRASP was the most 
widely used animation format on the IBM-PC (the FLIC Animation file 
format "*.fli" was second), but it has now been completely abandoned 
in favor of digital video formats such as AVI and QuickTime.
