Subj : Echo Description To : ALL From : Daryl Stout Date : Fri Jul 01 2016 09:17 am This message area covers logging of contacts. Originally all logging was down with traditional paper QSL cards, that were usually sent via the Postal Service, or a QSL Bureau, to other stations around the country, or around the world. In ham radio, the term "QSL" means "I acknowledge receipt of this contact". Some hams have the walls of thei shack covered with the QSL Cards as "wallpaper". Nowadays, with problems of loss or theft by mailing traditional QSL cards...not to mention the delay in getting them delivered and processed, electronic QSLing or EQSL, has emerged. The neat thing is that EQSL's are faster and quicker than "paper QSL's". Note that I am working on preparing batchfiles for these message areas, and it may take some time to get these posts going. Also, since I consider messages over 30 days old to be out of date on my BBS, these messages are deleted after that point, and reposted once a month, with new information, when required.
