Subj : Silent Keys To : All From : Daryl Stout Date : Sat May 28 2016 07:24 pm No one likes to think about this, but sooner or later, everyone, ham radio operator or not, passes away. When that happens to a ham radio operator, they are termed "A Silent Key" (SK). The monthly publication of the American Radio Relay League (QST), has at least one or 2 pages per month, toward the back of each issue...noting that "It is with deep regret, that we record the passing of these amateurs". There is also an SK category on packet radio. Those who have gone on before us, helped to make the hobby what it is today.
