Subj : First timer's experience with gummies

So my wife decided to order us some gummies a few weeks ago. We're both first-timers (to cannabis in general) and we wanted to dip our toes in. What she got was VIIA Microdose Cloud9 (2mg THC 25mg CBD). This came recommended by a friend who's more experienced with this sort of thing.

We each took one before bed one Saturday night while the kids were out of the house. After a while I started to feel a little ... floaty? Just sort of a calm. Wifey decided to take a second (which I didn't remember her taking at the time; she only recently told me she took the second one). I didn't feel much more than that initial calmness, and eventually fell asleep.

The next morning we both awoke VERY late, sleeping almost past noon, which is very unlike me and don't like doing. I also awoke with a major case of the stupids. For the majority of the day, I couldn't think straight, or even really function. I just kinda spent the day sitting around. Late in the day the feeling did start to wear off and I was able to remember to eat and get some dishes done, etc.

I would compare it to the feeling I'd get when I used to take NyQuil or DayQuil for colds... like a REALLY doped up feeling, so for years I've taken almost no over-the-counter meds for that reason.

Wifey seemed fine. Very much like her normal self.

I think eventually I may try another one if I ever feel stressed or something and feel the need to relax, but I wonder if I'm simply not built to handle this stuff. Or maybe something different would be better for me.
