As much as platforms overlap, the effectiveness of that may have waned?

On a personal level I use an iMac extensively.  Simple easy to use. Avoiding 
the endless Windows update issues is a plus.  But then again in that use-case I 












































































































































































































simeply want web access, email, and the usual productivity software to just 
work.  

The OSX/macOS world was set back by the deevolution as the iPod and iTunes 
basically want away.  What once worked seamlessly is now an awkward kludge.

In both work and home environments I do have other OS in active use - Windows 
for work and for my radios at home, Linux for home projects, and a couple 
others for experimenting with.
