Ha.. Totally ironic there, I made a point of listing every penny
I made from all jobs, even though most paid in cash and didn't
list the expense anywhere that would come back on me.

They probably figured they were doing me a favour but my problem
was showing ENOUGH income so the tax people wouldn't question what
I was doing for money and assume I had to be hiding most of it..

I could live pretty cheaply and you had to make a fair amount of
income before you paid any income tax at all so reporting all
of mine looked better but still didn't cost me any tax money..  B)

i.e.  Today we can make about $30,000 in a year before we pay
any income tax in most cases.
