It's not new, and I didn't come up with it, but there's the story about the professor who wanted to PROVE to his 'young adult class' that socialism was NOT the way to go. So he started taking the highest grade in the class and taking points off and giving to the lowest, then next highest to next lowest, etc. Until everyone had the same grade. Well it didn't take long for people to realize they'd get the same thing even if they didn't do the work, so they stopped working. But then NO ONE was doing ANY work so there was no 'points' to go around. ....
